I had designed the Lung bookshelf as a blank canvas for a revival of a decorative art finish. From a mutual appreciation of each other’s work the street artist D*Face and decided to collaborate on a limited edition piece, the Lung was perfect for this, affording the translation of D*Face’s normal stencil work to become laser cutting templates.
The end result was 9 cold formed steel bookcases with laser cut graphics finished in white Drylac series 4 ‘Anti-graffiti’ powder coating, two non slip nipples and bottom protective rubber channel.
These 9 pieces sold out immediately.
