Steve Watson has been working on a range of new designs specifically for Muse Restaurant, a new establishment opening in Melbourne, Australia, later in 2009. On show at the SaloneSatellite will be a new plywood low shelving system entitled Ponoko, a bamboo plywood and leather dining chair called Muse and a new piece of tableware entitled PT4. It seems I have hit the big time and have been the victim of cyber-vandelism resulting in my news blog being wiped out completely.

For those that have come late you have missed out on some real pearls, I will attempt to re-issue the important ones if I can find them. If anybody can tell me how to back up a blog I am well up for it.

Steve Watson can be viewed as a designer unshackled.

He feels blessed that he can see beauty “anywhere and everywhere” and his work often reflects this. There is a notable relaxed sensibility in his designs, a freedom of expression, a sense of humour. He works comfortably across a variety of materials, from glass, wood, concrete, metals to plastics, blending them together as effortlessly as he blends ideas.
